Who don’t know about this legendary tragic story of “Little Mermaid”?
Was made late in 1837 by Hans Christian Andersen. The story tells about a young mermaid who had a one sided love with a human. In this story the mermaid is falling in love with a mortal guy, and really want to be with the human. No pain no gain, she gave up her beautiful voice for a pair of legs. With the lost of her voice, she can’t even tell him that the person who saved him is her, not the princess. Here the tragic story was started… The prince love her enough even she’s mute, but he married the princess because he thought that she’s the one who saved him. He marry the princess, and the little mermaid turn into bubbles… disappear with her tears…
Edward Scissorhands
How bout Edward who has scissorhands. This one is made in 1999 by Tim Burton & Caroline Thompson. The story tells about Edward whose an artificial was created unfinished, and the creator died before he finish his hand. Edward spend his day on a castle, until one day, a woman found him inside the castle and bring him down to the town. Edward falls for woman’s daughter. But with his scissorhands, he can’t grab her hand, he can’t embrace her, he can’t even touch her face. No one accept him, and he was driven out from the town by the villagers, back to the lonely castle, without his love.
Both has a beautiful story yet sad ending. 😦
PS : Edward Scissorhands is the 1st movie of Johnny Depp in my life, I was 100% completely captivated by him there, and become a fan of him until now xD
