A Must Watch J-Movie 2012 : Rurouni Kenshin Live Action

I’ve been waiting for a very looong time to watch this movie, finally…
But God seems didn’t heard my wish, since I can’t watch it on theater,
Watched it on my little screen, what a waste…

For you who born around year 70’s-80’s must be know this Nobuhiro Watsuki’s masterpiece “Rurouni Kenshin” (I don’t think kids nowadays know this manga/anime). This was my childhood manga. At that time, I always waiting in front of TV everytime the anime is going to aired as if I’m not willing to missed even a minute, and save up some money to buy the manga desperately. The story that I would never forget,each one name of the characters and the name of their skils in the story, I can recite it one by one, I can also sing all of the anime OST hahaha (I was a hardcore fan back then and still proud of it).

Last year they turn this masterpiece into a Live Action, with my Sato Takeru as the main lead (kekekekekkekek).

Who the heck is Sato Takeru?

If you’re a fan of Kamen Rider series, you will get to know him. He starts his acting career as Kamen Rider Den-O, and impress me in “Bloody Monday” though he’s not the main lead. Then he keep impressed me hehehehe, and I’m officially become his fan until now ;). He really fits Kenshin character. Kenshin is not a tall handsome guy like that always in romance manga (but he’s indeed a handsome character with lovely personality hahaha), and Sato Takeru portrait him very well, he can be funny and scary when it needed.

The cast was perfect. Actually I was a Takei Emi anti-fan when I watch “Taisetsu na Koto wa Subete Kimi ga Oshiete Kureta“, I’m so dislike her character there haha (to be dislike for the character she acted means she’s a good actress), but after watch Kenshin, I love her! 😀

If you read the manga or maybe watched the anime, the story of this movie is following the story, it was started like that (though maybe you’ll find a bit difference). So to assume that there are a lot of important character which not appear yet in this movie, such as Shinomori Aoshi, Misao, Shishio, and Enishi. I’m wishing for a complete sequel, YOSHH !!!

My Reason to Watch this Movie

1. I’m a big fan of this manga & anime
2. Sato Takeru
3. The setting is back then at Meiji Period, which means you will see a lot of kimonos/yukata and old japanese home!!
4. The samurai art is an epic one.
5. Curiosity

Little Note :
“拙者 | Sessha” means I/me (male) used in the past by many samurai, it has the same meaning with “私 | watashi“.
“でござろう | de gozarou?“、 people nowadays say it by “でしょう | deshou” or “だろう | darou“.
“de gozaru” itself actually stands for the informal way to say “de gozaimasu” used in the past (old time) by many samurai, then “de gozaru yo” would be “desu yo“. Kenshin use this word a lot since he’s a samurai:)

“一つや二つ | Hitotsu ya futatsu” means one or two.
Literally it was translated as “Everyone has one or two of their past that they don’t wish to talk about.

Hitokiri ga kirazushite dou yatte hito wo mamoru?

How does an assassin protect people without killing?

And Kenshin answered :

こんな刀で、 この目に留まる人々くらいなら何とか守る。

Konna katana de, kono me ni tomaru hitobito kurai nara nantoka mamoru.

With this kind of sword, at least I’m able to protect people around me.

“この目に留まる人々 | Kono me ni tomaru hitobito” literally means the people on my sight.

Grab The Dream with Paradise Kiss [J-Movie 2011]

Today I watch another movie (seems all my live was cycling around movie -LOL). It’s Paradise Kiss based on manga with the same name, an awesome J-Movie 2011 about catching dream and love, such a meaningful movie for me, and has a sweet ending. Starring Kitagawa Keiko, Osamu Mukai (I watching this movie because of them) and Yamamoto Yusuke (I was surprised that he was here too xD a happy surprise!).

Okay, please don’t get pervert (*slap my forehead-LOL), even the title is Paradise Kiss, it’s not a kiss-kisses kind of movie (the movie do have some kisses … *blushhh*), but “Paradise Kiss” is a brand name in the movie. So it’s a story about a group of designer from an art university, they’re looking for  a person to be their model (for their last Fashion Show Graduation). Nice movie about catching their dream.

The Scene That Touch My Heart

(Erhmmm… the scene that actually, slap my cheek…)

Actually, several days (around 1 week from last Thursday), I’m struggling around this problem. When all the peoples are walking towards their dream, I’m stuck on the place where I’m standing right now, wondering what my dream is (Gaaahhhhh~ I’m a woman without dream…>_<), how to grab my dream. I’m quite down for it, and somehow lose my energy (super exaggerated xD). But this movie has some line which slaps me pretty hard, opened up my mind, and also give me more guts. It was like a sweet coincidence, when I really need an answer, the male lead gives me the answer through this movie.

The Encouragement

When I’m watching movies, sometimes I didn’t watched it only for fun. After I watched it, somehow I got something. I think that what a movie should have 😉

Now I’m thinking on a way to grab my dream, I want to take a step. A step towards my unknown dream.

30+ Single On Sale [Thai-Movie 2011]

It’s a sweet romantic comedy Thai-movie,
with a very simple (or even way too simple) ending.

Today I’m watching this movie with my friend. Just like the title it’s the story about decent woman named Ing (Ploy) –a photographer who has her own studio–  in her 30’s getting dumped by her first boyfriend after dating around 7 years and looking for her soul mate. With the help of her 2 BFF: Mint (Jeab Pijitra) and Yee (Tukki), and also the fortune teller (who sells delicious pork satay) Jued (Pea). There are many hilarious scenes, I really recommended this movie to watch so people will think twice before they become picky.

The Scene That Catch My Heart

1. When the female lead going to a temple to pray.

The female lead (Ing) going to a temple with the male lead (Jued) accompany her. She mention so many wish, for a very very handsome guy, rich, hard-worker, smart, etc many others. When the male lead only said,

Jued : I want a woman who loves me.
Ing : That’s all?
Jued : Yeah, simple, right?

Yeah in fact that almost all women was like that, and I was really moved by his simple line,
Is a guy like that only happen on movies? *Ask the staaaaars!!* +_+

Actually if people ask me, what kind of guy I want, then I always answer the same thing with the male lead,

The Guy who loves me.

It’s just as simple as that line. But many people said “Bullshit” after I said that line.  ( -____- )

Let me explain then,
If he loves me, he wouldn’t hurt me, right?
If he loves me, he will makes me happy, right?
If he loves me, he will trust me, right?
If he really loves me, then he wouldn’t be penny-pinching, right? (-LOL xD)

Just the way he is, that is how I will treat the guy I loved. That’s why when people ask me I will just answer with that simple line.

Out of Topic! (You can just ignore this -LOL)

In this world, there are some guys who choose a woman by reviewing it as if woman is a long-term-investment, especially when they said that people married and stay forever, it’s not because of love but loyalty (Geeesh, loyalty is happen to a customer and the bank, or a dog with the master!). If you find this kind of guy, believe me, he never really love anyone before. They will realize that their philosophy is wrong when they finally fall in a true love.

2. Is this Fate?

When the female lead ask the male lead, if she didn’t get dumped by her former boyfriend, if she didn’t come looking for the old fortune teller, and if she doesn’t want to eat pork satay, will she ever met him. He answered,

“We will still meet, because if you didn’t come, I would come to you…”

Aw… I know it’s a bit cheesy but… T__________T (too much watching romantic drama is not good for the health of your brain, really… muahahahaha)

3. The Quote From the Ending Part

When the female lead says,

I’m busy looking for a pen, when even a pencil can do.

Ahaha such a sweet parable. It’s just a simple parable, but if you watch the movie, you’ll understand it better. I took it as we are looking for the perfect one, when actually someone beside you is enough. 😉

The Way Too Simple Ending

I wonder why every Thai-Movie I ever watched always have this kind of ending, no skinship, I mean no hugs no kisses (LOL, Do I sound like a pervert? xD). For Example the other romantic comedy “Hello Stranger”, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”, “Best of Time” (This one has a peck), my friend who watched “Loser Lover”, “Suck Seed” also said the same thing. But I salute Thai-movie for that things, they can keep us enjoy their movies, even without many fan-services, maybe that’s the charm 🙂

(But still I want skinshippp!!!) >_< >> Please nevermind this, really, I’m just out of my mind LOL~

But believe me, this movie is worth to watch!! xD

“Can You Hear My Heart” is A Great Drama!!

Have you watched “Can You Hear My Heart“?

I’m really into this drama now… It’s a Human Drama with lovely romance hehehe.

The Plot

From the childhood story until they all grew up. The plot and each scene is perfect for me. Enough to make me cry, laugh, or even giggling ear to ear. The most scene I’m curious is the 3rd episode, when Dong Joo fall to the ground. How they shoot such a scene, when he beat his head into rock! I was shocked, touched, surprised, all into one, speechless lol~

The Characters

I Love Dong Joo!! The Deaf Dong Joo.

I always feel Dong Joo will got into a car accident whenever I saw him driving a car. Maybe because his character as a Deaf. I feel like he wouldn’t be able to hear the car horn, so anytime he could get a car accident. But he doesn’t hehehhe… I also like his righteous character, and how warmth the brother relationship between him and Jun Ha. Such a lovely brother. I want 2 son like them, so sweet 🙂

My fave scene when Dong Joo ask Jun Ha to do surgery for his bean bag lol~

But the strange things is, every episode, I was like spelled :

Jun Ha please don’t become Dark Jun Ha

I really feel pity for his character. Whatever he done, I never can hate him. He such a lovely yet pitiful character. I feel that he deserve to be happy someday. I feel bad for him but I also feel bad for Dong Joo’s Mom. I kinda understand how it feels… It’s complicated (>_<)

I used to hate the antagonist, especially Choi Jin chul and his mistress Kim Shin Ae, hate them to my flesh and bones… How could they make my Jun Ha to be like that, I hateee theeemmmm…. But in the end of story I feel sorry for them.

I also like Bong Young Gyu character, Jung Bo Suk really played this character well. He really look like a foolish, but yet a warm and kind foolish, i was touched everytime with his character, great character + great actor, perfect! 😉

The Romance

I like the love story between Woo Ri & Dong Joo, they got a great chemistry, I was giggling ear to ear whenever I saw them together 😀 The most I like is, this couple is different than any other couple who can quarrel each other, but after seeing them together, I think I would never can imagine how they’re quarrel, they’re just too sweet when they’re together xD

I like the way Woo Ri really understand Dong Joo, especially when she find out that Dong Joo is a Deaf (It’s in the end of episode 12, when she heard her father said that Dong Joo is similar with her mom, then in the garden when she’s peeking Dong Joo and his father talking, she realize that everytime her dad talking, Dong Joo eyes is looking directly into her dad’s mouth -somekind like lip reading-, that Dong Joo someone who cannot hear that’s why everytime he’s talking with someone he should read their lips -that’s Dong Joo’s speciality, he can read it perfectly-, and then she keep shouting behind him, but he just walk away as if he didn’t hear it -I cry hardly there huhuhu…) but she doesn’t ask him, she just wait until he tell her that he’s a deaf 😦 very touchy…

Then Dong Joo start to realize that she knows that he’s deaf (I think when she start talking right in front of his face, and talking with a “clear mouth shape” so he will able to read it easily, that she always help him when he’s in trouble like people calling him and else, there are so many hint if you watch it carefully ;)). Knowing that she support him and love him the way he is,  what a sweet couplee! I loveeeee themmmm 😀

The Soundtrack

They also had a lovely OST, but since I already found the lyrics and English translation, then i don’t need to make one 😉 (I only make song’s translation if I cant find them anywhere hehehe… I know how it feels when you really wants to know the song’s meaning but you don’t understand, and yet you cannot find it anywhere, I was like that, but keep watching drama has been improved my languages knowledge. 😉

The song is really touchy, I really really love the song, I feel somekind like peaceful, maybe because when I heard the song, I remember the tree when They’re playing melodeon, such a peaceful memories 😉

The Things I got from this drama

1. That, if you’re living under the same roof, even it’s not blood-related, we are Family.
2. That, even you’re going through a hard life, if we are “together” (hangeul “같이” literally romanized to be “Kati” but actually “Katji”, and pronounced to be “Kachi”) then we can overcome this.
3. That, If there are bad people around you, then you shouldn’t play with them (like what Bong Young Gyu said), you just don’t have to play with them. Even so, bad people is pitiful, because they have no friends around them.
4. To love the person you loved the way they are. (Omo so sweet~ xD)

I like everything in this drama!!

This is maybe spoiler, but this drama has a Happy Ending hehehe. That’s why I like it, in the end they’re all happy.
