A Gentleman’s Dignity – Friendship & Love

There are a lot of reasons to love this drama, but there’s no reason to hate this drama 😉 Tee-Hee~

This is a story of 4 guys who reach their 40’s (in the story they are around 41 years old). Two of them are still single, one of them is a widower, and the other one is married. Just like the title, this is how they are still childish even around that age, and how they are grow up (not physically) into adult and be a gentleman.

I’m not falling for this drama in the first 2 episodes, but this drama slowly take me in, the friendship is really delicious (I know it’s not a food haha xD), delicious because it makes me want to have that kind of friendship just like when I saw a delicious food!! And the love story, yeah the romance is really sweet.

The Funny Part

The funny part is how they never change any actor during the flashback to 25 years ago (when they’re still a student in high school) wearing high school uniform, I was like LOLing my ass off. And how they turn into a 17 years old guy when they hang out together, such a lovely strong friendship.

This is the first time they meet at the high school

Just like the other friendship story, there will always one nerd (Oh, I love nerd haha), Yoon is the nerd, the number one scoring in academic (you will notice which one is Yoon just by one glance in the picture above~ xD) he’s an independent Lawyer at his40’s, Do Jin is the number two scoring in academic, he became a great architect at his 40’s. Tae San is the thug, I mean he appears mostly like a thug hahaha  but in the funny part xD he’s an engineer along with Dojin open an contraction company. Jung Rok is the most easy going guy, he’s a womanizer even he’s married LOL.

The most funny part for me is when they’re talking about superhero. Jung Rok keep his favorite to Taekwon V (a robot), while Yoon love superman, Tae San with his Spiderman and Dojin who admires Batman. They’re so hillarious while competing each other about the superhero.

The Couples

There are 8 leads in this drama, it’s 4 couples with 4 love stories. It wrapped beautifully and exciting. Each of character developed really nice from each episode.

Dojin & YiSoo

Major spoiler is in this couple so I can’t spoil anything, since this one is the center of the story. Their love story didn’t affect me that much, but there are a lot of lovely scene in this couple. ^^

TaeSan & SeRa

Come to me~

TaeSan come from a rich family, he’s still single at his 40’s. He had a sister 17 years younger than him who love his friend, Yoon. The girl he likes is the friend of YiSoo, Sera. She’s a professional Golfer. She’s free and follow her carrier. The major issue here is the pride, money, career and marriage.

Yoon & Meari

Yoon is a succesful lawyer, he’s a widower, his wife was dead 5 years ago. And Meari (24) is the little sister of TaeSan, she love Yoon who is 17 years older than her. His friendship with TaeSan started even before she was born. For me, the most love story I like is this one. I used to think that age doesn’t matter in romance. 😉

JungRok & MinSook

What I want you to do is only this, just stay with me like this, pat me gently until I fall asleep, and being able to see your face next to me when I open my eyes in the morning.

(this is what the wife said to her hubby…. I really touched by her word.)

JungRok married to MinSook, she’s older than him and very rich. But JungRok is a womanizer, he keep having affair with another woman. This story is telling us about the problem after marriage. Some people used to think that marriage is a happily ever after, but sometimes they also got some issue such as  the “trust” in marriage which is so fragile, the pressure to obtain a baby and how a woman feel insecure. And the “happily ever after” will be obtain once they overcome the obstacles. Their story is really meaningful for me. 😉

I really recommended this drama!! This drama is really great! A must to watch especially for those  who love the scriptwriter Kim Eun Sook (her previous masterpiece is Secret Garden & Lover in Paris). 😉

Drama: “Feast of The Gods” <3 Kim Do Yoon!

The poster makes this drama looks like a saeguk (Historical Drama), but it is NOT! xD~

Why you must watch Feast of The Gods

For you who likes a drama with some family problem, cooking, and lovely romance with sweet cool guy! (lol what the heck is that), and maybe some childhood story, this drama is all in one drama. Starring Sung Yu Ri, Lee Sang Woo & Joo Sang Wook, makes this drama more adorable. I’m currently on a state super addicted to this drama.

The Reason I survive watching a 32 episodes drama (I was only watch max 30 eps drama):

Kim Do Yoon (muhahahaha~xD)

Who the heck is “Kim Do Yoon” ?

This is the 1st drama that I don’t know who exactly the male lead. At first I think it’s Jae Ha (because he got some childhood story with the female lead). But in the middle of story, I feel that the story more about Do Yoon, and I was like;

“Pleaseeeee, let my Do Yoon to be the male lead!” xD~

But now even he’s the 2nd lead, as long as he’s the one who get the girl in the end. 😉

10 things I love about Do Yoon:

1. Likes Robots

Even it’s sounds chldish to play robotic toy at that age (30’s), but for me, that’s a plus point xD
A guy should love robots!

2. Play Games

it seems his “important thing” to do is playing games xD

This is personal reason, I love guy who play games. Didn’t addicted that much, they still do their job perfectly, and play games on their freetime 😀

3. Less Talk
ok, this one is considered as being “cool”.

There are several scene of Do Yoon when he actually trying to comfort Joon Young, but turn out to make her more upset -LOL. He’s not good at talking, but everything was done by action ;p

4. Killing Smile
He doesn’t smile too often, but once he smile, OMG!  +_+  *melt into water*

5. Cooking

He’s a guy who can cook! (he’s a chef anyway :3)

6. Ignorant
This is one of his character that he (at first) actually an ignorant guy with some bad-manner personality. But I think that’s a good thing, even got a bit bad-manner, he still a gentle guy who wouldn’t let a girl freezing outside, and didn’t let a girl spending night on the street. He’s not a guy who being nice to every woman (like Jae Ha), but probably only to the woman he loves. 😉

7. Watch the girl back

He’s the type of guy who keep looking the girl from far away.

8.Love his bro so much

He’s such a lovely younger brother 😀

9.Bad Kisser

LOL, this is the most funny kissing scene, because after he kissed the girl he said that it was an “accident”. Oh boy, you should just tell her that you love her, don’t say that it was an accident, LMAO (I think he just being panic xD), by saying that i think he deserve to be kicked xD.

10.Athletic Body
I dont have to say anything about this right?
He looks perfectly normal guy when he dressed up, even just with a T-shirt, but … actually behind that outfit, he has muscles! xD

11, 12, 13, …?
I will add it up later because there are too many things I adore from him, and the drama still on 12th Episode, tomorrow will be air the 13th. I’m really looking forward to watch it 😉

I do really hope that the writer didn’t twist the story and turn him into a bad-ass guy. I will smash my screen if that happen Dx

PS : The story is not all about Do Yoon, it’s just my review is all about Do Yoon ._.

CONTAIN SPOILER!!! <Added this up after finish the whole drama>

So the 1st half round is a great success with a strong story, but ended up into a big disappointing in the end. They sure can make this story better, but the writer didn’t write it that way. The only good part of the story is only DY and his Mom (they are really great!), and Yeon Woo became the master chef. I totally agree with that, and I got the meaning of this drama, that if you try your best and didn’t bewitched, you actually can overcome the obstacle. If only Baek Seol didn’t commit the crime of cheating 22 years ago, she will be the Master Chef. The food Yeon Woo serve is suggested by Baek Seol. So actually, she will be the one who win, but she was intimidated and commit cheating, all disaster happening. And the same thing happen to Yeon Woo. So far, I think the theme is good.

BUT the rest is totally crap and turning into disaster. Arirang turning into sh*t, and JH is not even appear after 1 year later (oh come on, he’s one of the leads, we want to know what did he done, did he find another better girl, did he living his life better).  I’m raging here because I was a big fan of this drama before they turn it into this. Too much draggy, and slow romance development. What’s with that ENDING?!?!?! No Hugs no Kisses, only kicking and staring…. I’m satisfying enough with “Can You Hear My Heart” ending, even there’s no kiss and hug kind of ending, and also its also a makjang drama, but ended awesomely. What happen here? D:

From now on I will totally avoid makjang drama!!!

Classical Music in Our Heart

I’m really glad that recently I found out that people still root in Classic music.

These pics are the faces of the famous composer classical music, look at their face, they are so handsome and charismatic xD

Today, while I’m walking on a Shopping Mall, they play Classic Instrumental Music “Symphony No. 25 in G minor” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (click here to listen). This piece always being powerful piece for me, I will notice this piece only by once hearing this piece 🙂

Not only in a Shopping Mall, any Public event, wedding and advertising, but also in a drama!! I’m totally glad hehehe… I like listen to this music, those piece are perfectly composed, and match in any special occasion.

The female lead of currently airing SBS drama “Protect The Boss“, No Eun Seol, is also using one of classic instrumental kind of ringtone when she received a call from her boss. Well, since I’m a fan of Ludwig Van Beethoven and this piece is also one of my fave piece, so I knew it right away that It’s one of the famous Beethoven’s Piece “Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67: I. Allegro con brio” (in piano version), this piece usually only being called “Symphony No. 5” (click here to listen). This piece have been used in many drama and movie, usually for a tragic comedy kind of situation -LOL-

Do you know?

That without you realize it, you have been heard many classical music. Then one day. if you listen to the classical music, you will be “Oh! This song…!!” hehehehe… Many people doesn’t like classical music, saying that it’s sleepy, lullaby etc, but it’s not true, classical music is easy listening music and really good for health, that’s why when a woman pregnant, the doctor recommend her to listen classical music for the baby, it’s good for brain! Well, for adult it’s good for brain therapy and relaxes -lol-

The other piece I like, maybe you will like it too 😉 they’re lovely and easy listening pieces :

• Violin Sonata No.5 in F major Op.24 “Spring” Part 1.Allegro by Ludwig Van Beethoven (click here to listen). This piece was also used in the musical drama “Nodame Cantabile“, in this drama there are so many other classic music, but this one is the most I like compare to the other pieces 😉

• Moonlight Sonata by Ludwig Van Beethoven (click here to listen).

• Fur Elise by Ludwig Van Beethoven, this piece actually means “For Elise” in english, and actually is a piece for Elise, the one he loved, but unfortunately, everytime I listen to this song, somehow I feel creepy, maybe because they’re too many movie, anime, or drama who using this piece for a creepy scene like a piano on the school which is suddenly playing in midnight =_= (click here to listen).

• Chopin Etudes Op. 10 No. 3 Tristesse by Frédéric François Chopin, this is my personal description, but when I hear this song, I feel sad, like I’m losing someone 😦 (click here to listen). This song is used in year 1991 Jdrama “101 Proposal“, this piece was the favorite piece of the female lead’s fiancee who died in an accident.

• Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel (This is his best piece), I think everyone know this piece, this piece have been using in many song, and many times being remix and added into a pop song, also become many drama’s  and movie’s soundtrack (click here to listen).

The Ringtone in “Scent of A Woman”

Actualy, when I watch “Scent of Woman”, I really like it when the phone ringing, for Lee Yeon Jae or even Kang Ji Wook, because both ringtone sounds good, then I wonder (did you?), what was the song of their ringtones, well I’m a person with high curiosity, you can see on my right panel, the curiosity rate is the highest by 19% -LOL- I’m going to use it as my ringtone lalalala~ 🙂

The Ringtone used in the Drama “Scent of A Woman”

The song that Lee Yeon Jae used as ringtone is “Hawaiian Couple” by Humming Urban Stereo  (Click here to listen).

I found this song when I’m searching by writing down the hangeul lyrics (from what I heard in the drama) in Daum Music Site, and right away after that, I found this song! and also It’s an original soundtrack of Korean Movie “내 사랑  a.k.a. My Love” (2007). It’s a very sweet movie, starring many famous actors and actresses, such as Uhm Tae Woong, Jung Il Woo, Lee Yeon Hee, and Choi Kang Hee who is now starring SBS drama “Protect The Boss” with Ji Sung (one of drama that I “hooked into” now hehehe). I’ll watch it immediately!!! 지금 당장!! xD

And the song that Kang Ji Wook used as ringtone is “Another Day” by Buckshot LeFonque (Click here to listen). I really like this song, one of my favourite! 😀

I find out that Lee Yeon Jae changed her ringtone hehee…

여인의 향기 : Tango!

Yeah, recently I’m crazy over a Tango thingy, because of a Korean drama “Scent of A Woman” (Starring : Lee Dong Wook & Kim Sun Ah).

Actually there is an American movie with the same title in 1992 (which is also a remake of Italian Movie “Profumo di donna” in 1974). But the drama don’t have any relation with those movie, the same thing only the “Tango” and the  Bucket List.

If you watch it carefully, you will found Kang Ji Wook (the male lead of the drama) watching TV (Scent of A Woman : Episode 7 – 00:18:05 HANrel), it’s a scene where Al Pacino (the male lead of the movie) dance Tango with music “Por Una Cabeza” (which is become the soundtrack of the drama too hehehe) ;D

The drama is about a woman who has cancer, then decided to live her life with the fullest within the 6 months remains. Even though the synopsis sound a very sad story, but they wrapped up the drama totally different, it’s sweet, lovely, classic, romantic, touchy, and full of meaning, very recommended to watch! Maybe because they got an OTP with superb chemistry 😉

In the drama (Episode 4), Lee Yeon Jae make a Bucket List (contains 20 things she wants to do before she died). And the number 3 of those 20 is “Learn Tango”.

“Can You Hear My Heart” is A Great Drama!!

Have you watched “Can You Hear My Heart“?

I’m really into this drama now… It’s a Human Drama with lovely romance hehehe.

The Plot

From the childhood story until they all grew up. The plot and each scene is perfect for me. Enough to make me cry, laugh, or even giggling ear to ear. The most scene I’m curious is the 3rd episode, when Dong Joo fall to the ground. How they shoot such a scene, when he beat his head into rock! I was shocked, touched, surprised, all into one, speechless lol~

The Characters

I Love Dong Joo!! The Deaf Dong Joo.

I always feel Dong Joo will got into a car accident whenever I saw him driving a car. Maybe because his character as a Deaf. I feel like he wouldn’t be able to hear the car horn, so anytime he could get a car accident. But he doesn’t hehehhe… I also like his righteous character, and how warmth the brother relationship between him and Jun Ha. Such a lovely brother. I want 2 son like them, so sweet 🙂

My fave scene when Dong Joo ask Jun Ha to do surgery for his bean bag lol~

But the strange things is, every episode, I was like spelled :

Jun Ha please don’t become Dark Jun Ha

I really feel pity for his character. Whatever he done, I never can hate him. He such a lovely yet pitiful character. I feel that he deserve to be happy someday. I feel bad for him but I also feel bad for Dong Joo’s Mom. I kinda understand how it feels… It’s complicated (>_<)

I used to hate the antagonist, especially Choi Jin chul and his mistress Kim Shin Ae, hate them to my flesh and bones… How could they make my Jun Ha to be like that, I hateee theeemmmm…. But in the end of story I feel sorry for them.

I also like Bong Young Gyu character, Jung Bo Suk really played this character well. He really look like a foolish, but yet a warm and kind foolish, i was touched everytime with his character, great character + great actor, perfect! 😉

The Romance

I like the love story between Woo Ri & Dong Joo, they got a great chemistry, I was giggling ear to ear whenever I saw them together 😀 The most I like is, this couple is different than any other couple who can quarrel each other, but after seeing them together, I think I would never can imagine how they’re quarrel, they’re just too sweet when they’re together xD

I like the way Woo Ri really understand Dong Joo, especially when she find out that Dong Joo is a Deaf (It’s in the end of episode 12, when she heard her father said that Dong Joo is similar with her mom, then in the garden when she’s peeking Dong Joo and his father talking, she realize that everytime her dad talking, Dong Joo eyes is looking directly into her dad’s mouth -somekind like lip reading-, that Dong Joo someone who cannot hear that’s why everytime he’s talking with someone he should read their lips -that’s Dong Joo’s speciality, he can read it perfectly-, and then she keep shouting behind him, but he just walk away as if he didn’t hear it -I cry hardly there huhuhu…) but she doesn’t ask him, she just wait until he tell her that he’s a deaf 😦 very touchy…

Then Dong Joo start to realize that she knows that he’s deaf (I think when she start talking right in front of his face, and talking with a “clear mouth shape” so he will able to read it easily, that she always help him when he’s in trouble like people calling him and else, there are so many hint if you watch it carefully ;)). Knowing that she support him and love him the way he is,  what a sweet couplee! I loveeeee themmmm 😀

The Soundtrack

They also had a lovely OST, but since I already found the lyrics and English translation, then i don’t need to make one 😉 (I only make song’s translation if I cant find them anywhere hehehe… I know how it feels when you really wants to know the song’s meaning but you don’t understand, and yet you cannot find it anywhere, I was like that, but keep watching drama has been improved my languages knowledge. 😉

The song is really touchy, I really really love the song, I feel somekind like peaceful, maybe because when I heard the song, I remember the tree when They’re playing melodeon, such a peaceful memories 😉

The Things I got from this drama

1. That, if you’re living under the same roof, even it’s not blood-related, we are Family.
2. That, even you’re going through a hard life, if we are “together” (hangeul “같이” literally romanized to be “Kati” but actually “Katji”, and pronounced to be “Kachi”) then we can overcome this.
3. That, If there are bad people around you, then you shouldn’t play with them (like what Bong Young Gyu said), you just don’t have to play with them. Even so, bad people is pitiful, because they have no friends around them.
4. To love the person you loved the way they are. (Omo so sweet~ xD)

I like everything in this drama!!

This is maybe spoiler, but this drama has a Happy Ending hehehe. That’s why I like it, in the end they’re all happy.

The Legend of Four Gods – Waiting for Lee Philip to Come Up!

Lol, actually the first catchy things when I’m going to watch this Saeguk (Korean Historical Drama) because there are so many awards and high rating, named “The Legend/Four Gods”, it’s a year 2007 saeguk. Then later I found out that Lee Philip (one of my favourite actors) is having a role in this saeguk!

Then the most funny thing is, I watching along all the 15 episodes, waiting for him to come up lol~ and when he appeared as the “Blue Dragon”, I was “kyaaak” all the time xD

He always looks gorgeous as ever! And then I realize, I keep looking forward to see him in the next scene, and become ignoring the other role … (―˛―“). I have to keep focused! Actually this saeguk isn’t a bored saeguk, the story is pretty interesting, and the properties is perfect. But this saeguk is kinda heavy saeguk.

Before “Lee Philip” appears, I keep yawning and even a dozen time almost fall asleep. But he will keep appear from now on ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ. So I won’t yawning / fall asleep anymore, he’s my power to keep watch this saeguk! Yaaaaay~
